Sea Galley Restaurants

Sea Galley restaurants are a chain of locally based restaurants on the West Coast. They are still operating today with locations in Anchorage, AK and Union Gap, WA.

This was their famous TV commercial, which ran all during the '80s. I remember elementary school kids used to dance and sing the lyrics, complete with high-kicks.

At my high school, we used to sing it to the chorus of "I Got You Babe" Sonny & Cher whenever that song came on the radio....

"Legs....(duh-duh, duh-duh)....We've got crab legs.....(duh-duh, duh-duh)....We've got crab legs....."

(Correction 1/22/14: I initially wrote Sea Galley went out of business. Ryan D. from Anchorage informed me that was far from the case. And John Graham informed me earlier there is also another location in Union Gap, WA. Thanks to everyone and Sea Galley for their patience and my apologies for the error. - Larry)

  1. So crazy to see this here. Saw that there is still a lonely sea galley in Yakima and immediately thought of the crab legs song!

  6. My husband and I went to the one in Union Gap (Yakima) Washington this month. It was like stepping back in time! It looks like the same Sea Galley we grew up with. Enjoyed our visit and had a delicious salad bar and entree!

Having one location in Anchorage and one in Union Gap isn't far from the case of being closed...

  8. Technically, you're right. But as long as it exists somewhere, it still in all fairness needs to be mentioned. You won't believe what some folks would do for those crab legs again these days!
