Valentine's Day.....Is there ANY day more REVOLTING?
Of course not. At least the fact you just got dumped isn't rubbed into your face by every Madison Avenue commercial jingle on Halloween.

If I may add a couple more songs to this list (call them 20a and 20b):
ReplyDeleteRIP OFF - Laura Lee - great R&B hit from 1972 where Laura knows her man is cheating but stays sweet to him, all the while plotting her revenge by walking off with everything he owns.
THE RAIN - Oran Juice Jones - greatest "one-hit-wonder" of all time. "Missed you so much I followed you today... that's right, now close your mouth 'cause you're Cold Busted!" Nuff said.
Ok, 20c:
ReplyDeleteTHIN LINE BETWEEN LOVE AND HATE - Persuaders (1971), remade by The Pretenders (1984). Another classic where the guy is cheating on his woman, she stays sweet to him but the aforementioned "thin line" is crossed by the final verse and the protagonist is laying in a hospital bed wondering what the hell happened.
