History's Dumpster = GLORIOUS trash! Kitsch, music, fashion, food, history, ephemera, and other memorable and forgotten, famous and infamous pop culture junk and oddities of yesterday and today. Saved from the landfill of time...
Some locations had a separate drive-in burger restaurant called Kmart Chef. I never lived near one, but some of my older friends remember them as some of the very best cheeseburgers they ever had.....
KMart cuisine was definitely a don't-knock-it-til-ya-tried-it affair. I got to be something of a regular at a Cafeteria in the mid-to-late '90s and can't remember ever being disappointed. I don't think I've ever had fried fish quite as good as that KMart's.
Sadly, that KMart is gone now. The mall it anchored was torn down and replaced by a Lowe's about 10 years ago.
