Back in 1979, Alberto VO5 hair products made several American TV commercials with "superstar" Rula Lenska.
There was just one problem. While Rula Lenska was famous as a TV, film and stage actress in the UK, in America she was known as "that woman on the hair spray commercials nobody's ever heard of."
I SO remember these ads & had the same response...Who the heck is Rula Lenska??! In fact, once in a while I'll break out with "Hello, I'm Rula Lenska" and no one will have a clue what I'm referring to.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I saw those ads the only thing I could think was "Izza drag queen?" He/she had a voice that could put Barry White to shame.
